About The Author

By 5 years of age author Dannette Ellenwood Hunnel was the only child of divorced parents, which was somewhat rare in a small Midwestern town in the 60's. Over time she had stepparents, step-siblings and half- siblings.
As an adult she too became divorced then later a stepparent, thereby experiencing a "Lifetime of visitation". Through the years, Dannette put her frustrations and emotions into writing as her form of "therapy". As time went on she found others to be appreciative of her experiences and advice with such comments as "someday you should write a book".
Since the original publication of her first book in 2006, Ms. Hunnel has been published in numerous tabloids, websites and newsletters, and has given presentations for a variety of groups throughout the country.
Dannette is employed by Paradise Valley School District in Language Acquisition and lives with her husband and their pets in Phoenix, Arizona. She enjoys spending time with their grandchildren and maintains a dedicated practice of tai chi and yoga.   Look for her new fun childrens book,  'Litty Lightning Bug'  available in stores and online October 2011.
